So often I have found myself in a dreamlike state half awake half asleep. Drifting. Floating in a sea of barely discerned thoughts, each vying for recognition as the ebb and flow of conflicting contradictions that present themselves as varied faces, half concealed, that visit the minds eye each pushing forward before receding once more into the shadows only to be replaced by another. Trapped between sleep and wakefulness caught in a constant struggle of mood as the dark coolness of depressions jostles for prominence over optimism and light. Apple of my eye is a reference to temptation to reflect the real world or the abstract inner self.
