While on a holiday in Florida we spent the day in the everglades national park.  I was struck by the vast expanse of space.  It is as though the sky itself will crush you and a deep awareness of isolation filters down to the conscious mind. In this pictorial reflection I am both recording and exploring ways that I might fully express this through abstract concepts and ideas.   The vastness of space on a small canvas.  The epic views and sheer sense of scale that the Florida everglades have had a great effect on me and I have made many explorations into simplicity  of shape and line to convey this.
