Four fish

Inspired by a walk along a river. I was sitting by a river bank in the shade of a old oak tree whiling away the day as I casually watched the fish hiding in the shade.The deep reflections and shifting ripples blended the image into a swirling blur. My mind was forced to consider camouflage patterns.  This piece is as much about exploring patterns and styles in painting as it is of its subject. There are fish and I enjoy the visual hunt that is required to discover them.
