Painted as a reactionary piece, this oil painting has been laying about in my studio for several years, acting as a constant reminder to me, of not just my own fallibility and failures as it is to others.

 

It is a strong painting, full of energy and vitality, both aggressive and passive, bold and week, defiant and humbling that conveys the full range human emotions that we as week and retched individuals fluctuate through as we peruse our goals and ambitions.

 

As a painting I find that this piece is a vital expression of the pointlessness of art as it is to the value of art in all our lives. Art that makes us laugh or cry in despair, art that encourages debate or simply remind us of a moment in time.
